"Having failed part three a second time whilst training with a well known instructor training school I turned to Dave Brown as a friend and former work colleague to help me to overcome the difficulties I was having. Dave was very flexible in his diary so that I could fit the training sessions in around a demanding full time job. The sessions were initially tailored to address those areas where I had failed previously, and then developed to cover all the PST's, focussing on the core competencies throughout. In addition to this Dave was instrumental in guiding me towards a trainee licence and thereafter provided highly effective practical guidance on lessons for me to then deliver to my pupils and he was always interested to hear how each lesson with them had gone, offering further advice and conducting a mock test for my pupils as a guide for me. Training was delivered professionally and effectively and with his own inimitable sense of humour, making the preparation for the part three less daunting than it had previously been. So much so in fact that I have no hesitation in stating that I regret not having started my ADI training with Dave in the first place. Dave sat in on my third attempt at part three and his own elation at my passing took me by surprise, but left me in no doubt that he genuinely cares about his pupil's development and their ability to pass the test.
